Human life span is pretty good compared to other animals.
It is programmed. It depends upon the genetic make up and the ability to cope with the circumstances of life. Biochemical engine has to chug along to get on with life, which seems to accumulate many errors in old age. Death is an escape and in a way a relief.

Why is the human lifespan so short?
All life spans are short compared to the expanse of time.
The human life span is relatively short because of the current limitation of physical rejuvenation.
Physical rejuvenation is limited by genetics.
Once science of genetics learns how to reestablish this key life spans will still be "relatively" short.

Are you kidding me? We have a really long lifespan compared to other animals. You're really greedy if you think that our life span is too short.
I think it's not fair that alot of other animals has a much shorter life span than us, when they're better than humans in every way.

Unless you are comparing the human lifespan to a giant Sequoia, humans do pretty damn good in that category when compared to other species. We outlive most of the creatures on this planet.

It's all in how you look at things.... I think that my lifetime has been long and wonderful so far, and I'm only 31. I live each day to the fullest.... and if I died tomorrow, I would have lived more than I ever deserved.
I am not so arrogant as to ask for more that I already have. So I think we are here for as long as we should be. When we deserve a longer life, we will get it.

Stress. I suppose the cause of that is ego, greed, selfishness, no hope, no imagination, shortage of information, lack of knowledge on how you work which is spirituality and psychology mainly, I would think but it's all because of the insane delusion we have of reality.

People strapped in wheelchairs drooling and watching a rolling television screen don't have much to inspire them. And, try though we might, we haven't figured out a way to keep them doing it longer.
