Adultery covers all manner of sexual sins(fornication, incest, beastiality, self-sex, lust, same sex, etc).
Masturbation is a selfish act of God's gift of Sex to mankind. Masturbation is classified as auto-erocism.

It depends on religion. If you are talking in terms of Christianity then it depends on the denomination or sect. Catholics for example believe in a philosophy that human functions were designed by God to be used only for that purpose. Masturbation reproduces the feeling of sexual intercourse, which is intended for pro creation. Therefore, by masturbating you are abusing God's gift to mankind and disobeying his will.
If Protestant however, the line is a little blurry. As long as you don't have sexually immoral thoughts for another person (which is hard not to do during masturbation,) then it may be considered a sin by certain people.
The best way to find out is to study the scriptures yourself and find your own answer. What I have stated above is only what people themselves believe, and is not the word of God. (Unless someone can show me it in the bible)

"Sin" is a religious concept. You'd have to ask your religious leader about that. But it is normal and natural. Probably 95% of all guys masturbate or have masturbated regularly, like once a day or more. Not sure what the latest estimate is for women and girls, but probably at least 50%.

masturbation is not a sin. In order to be a sin it must be specifically stated that this is an act not to be done in either the old or new testament in the bible. Masturbation is not mentioned in the bible. All other sex acts are but masturbation is not. So it is not a sin.

Nope. All religions are man-made, so anything called a sin is simply a man-made edict. Keep on enjoying yourself, same as everyone else.

yea man it says in the bible god says to a man something like "stop spilling your seed upon the ground rather it lie in the belly of a whore" its like that but i mean everybody does it so i don't know its up to you whether youll do it or not.
bottom line. everyone does it, but its still a sin

In the Catholic Religion Mastubation is seen as a form of adultery....this is what my preacher said in lyk abistinence course thing......apparently its lyk cheating on your husband and I dont know how its adultery if your not married!!

yes, based on most religions it is. but it's as natural as peeing. if the bible said peeing was a sin then what would you do? [and urinary infections are not fun] so, if you do, keep doing it, if you don't then don't and you'll have no worries.

Yes it is , i looked it up on www.belief.net and it is a sin for certain religions.
