Any Roadrunner / Wiley Coyote comedy interlude is a good example of cause and effect in the cartoon world.

They exhibit predictability, reproducibility and consequence of preceding action even if they do not obey conventional laws of physics.

However, as a representation of a causal set I must argue that they are dismal. They have nothing to do with quantum gravity and cannot be embedded into a Lorenzian manifold.
