If you have very heavy periods they can sometimes make you a little anemic which can cause dizzyness.

You should make an appointment to discuss this with your doctor. It could be a minor issue, but it could also indicate something more serious. There are a number of things that can cause a woman to feel dizzy. The best way to know what causes you to feel this way is to be examined by a doctor.

Good luck!

I sometimes get a little dizzy if my period is heavy, I would go to see a doctor though if this happens all the time.

Depends on what type of cycle you have having - the flow etc. Have you eaten? Are you diabetic? Most people do get a little dizzy from time to time, I do! Make sure that you keep your fluid (not alcohol of course) intake to appropriate levels.

Actually yes, it could be that you just need an iron boost, think about we women loose blood every month and don't think about topping up our iron intake, so the light headed dizziness, even fatigue and tiredness can set in, just take it easy and be good to yourself, take suppliments if needs be but get a doctor's opinion first.

it can happen, but it shouldn't.
i am always dehydrated and when i started getting my period it really showed because i would get dizzy all the time
i think it's because you are losing fluids and you need to replace them, although I'm not quite sure how replacing blood with water helps.
it does though. you just need to try and drink 8 8 ounce glasses of water a day (which sucks but you have to force yourself. its easier if you carry around a water bottle, because then you always drink from it, and make sure your water is cold and has ice cause then it's more pleasurable to drink.)

Yes. Some women find their blood pressure is at its lowest during their periods. If they have low blood pressure already, they may find themselves dizzy during their periods.

Make a point of staying well-hydrated during your period, keeping your blood volume at a healthy level. Protect yourself from fainting by moving around before you stand up, eating a light but normal diet even if you don't feel so hot, and mention it to your doctor during your next visit.

Maryn, who's fainted 8 times in her life, every one of them on day one of her period

Yes is it. Your losing blood. Not a lot but sometimes enough to make you feel a little dizzy especially on your heavier days.
