I know that this may not be the answer you want to hear, but this has happened to me in the past. You can either ignore them which won't always work, or you can kill them with kindness. If you are excessively nice to you they realize that they can't bother you and stop being a jerk. You can't show them that they bother you. It makes them want to hurt to even more. I hope this helps a little

It depends on the setting. If it's social, I don't give the person the time of day, and would possibly tell them to "back off" if they got aggressive enough. In a work enviornment, I'd be civil, but distant, and would surely be less confrontational if I felt a chat was in order, but likely I wouldn't discuss the issue. Avoidance isn't ideal, but sometimes it's the best way.

Ignore them, or make an issue of it.
The decision is yours.
Sometimes it is better one way than the others. Adapt to the circumstances.

Ignore their behaviour unless it is totally outrageous. Act like you would any other time. This puts the control back into your hands and doesn't dignify the bad behaviour.

you punch them in the face........hahahahah not really. just ask them why and if they say that nothings wrong. then just stop talking to them. they are most likley angry about something else and just taking it out on you. just give them time to cool.
