Ok my best friend of 7 years hasn't had her period in like 3 years. Along with that she has a very very strong female odor. She is going to the doctor to get checked on about the 3 years w/out a period but she says that the odor is because of the missing period. Is this true, is this the reason she has this odor. She is a very clean girl she showers daily and is very hygeinic. Info please!

Odor is a sign that something is wrong. It could be infection, or even cancer. Cancer smells horrible. She should definitely mention the odor problem when she goes to the doctor, I wonderwhy she waited so long??

I had a similar odor problem quite a few years ago, but it came with a very thick, whitish discharge. My OB/GYN wasn't really helpful as to the cause, but he suggested a D&C. I went ahead with that and haven't had a problem since. Definitely should find out about the period thing, though.

Most likely she has some type of infection. It could be a bacteria infection or it could be an STD. It'll be best for her to go see a doc. Bacteria infections can happen to any female. It has nothing to do with her showering everyday. STD---she should practice safe sex if that's the case. Hope everything turns out okay.

If she is sexually active, the odor could be dying sperm inside her.
She should discuss the odor with he doctor; he/she can help find the cause of the odor and diagnose it.

No the odor has nothing to do with her not having her period.Its something else and the doctor needs to figure out what.Could be that shes not clean or don't clean well down there.

She should talk to her gyno,but everyone has a different scent some women just smell stronger than others.

if her vaginal pH is way off yes, it could be associated with lack of menstrual cycle and odor...glad she is seeing a doctor.
