If the man has a clear thinking conscience, like me, he must surely be in turmoil. After all, in today's world, there are ample reasons for all clear thinking people to be flagrant pessimists, like me.

We know from Blair that Bush willfully invaded Iraq without a care as to what the outcome would be. We know this from our clear thinking, and not from anything that Bush has said or any written policy. The invasion was undertaken without a care, not a care in the world, as any clear thinking person can see. Do not listen to republicans who might list reasons, or quote from speeches. They are obviously not clear thinkers.

Your memory is bad....

We invaded Iraq to remove an evil dictator who was not working with us (or the UN) to stop his evil ways. He was also killing thousands of his own people.

Our mission was accomplished.

However, we failed to realize that the Iraqi's were in no position to run their own country. They struggle to maintain any sense of security, they don't have a modern infrastructure, and don't have the manpower.

Yes, we made a mistake. However, it wasn't removing an evil regime. It was over-estimating Iraq's abilities to take over their own country.

And when I say 'we', I mean all of America (and the world). Dems and Repubs were in this decision together. Bush isn't a king and didn't decide to go to war on his own. Don't try to re-write history and play Monday morning quarterback.

Yes, we've gotten ourselves into a mess, but we need to come together to make it successfull. Nothing we can do can bring us back to the day we made the decision to go to war.....

Pulling out early insures defeat and chaos in the region and makes our soldier's sacfrices worth nothing...

That's unacceptable.

When bush leaves office, I doubt anybody would want to fill his corrupt shoes.

The best thing to do is clear out the closet, fumigate, patch up the holes, re-paint, and start anew.

This is all meant in a symbolic way.

As for clear thinking and republicans?

The two words do NOT belong in the same sentence.

I would not like to be President ever. I don't want a job in which I control people's fate. Life or death...too much responsibility for me. Just let me sell hotel rooms, food and beverage and meeting space. That's what I do well.

No, way! I dont need that type of stress in my life. to be a good president, you have to be active and alert and always in the know. I know that every morning, I would request every newspaper delivered in the US for starters.
