On my old PC I use to connect it to the TV via an s-video cable. Now that I have a MacBook, I don't have an S-video plug, what do I need to connect my macbook to my TV to watch my downloaded TV shows?

Links to buy products would be awesome.

Your macbook has a mini-dvi port on it. You can buy a converter from apple.com for about $20. If you a lcd or plasma tv, you may just need a cable.

Did you buy your MacBook at an Apple store? Well even if you didn't you can always go to one and tell them what you need and they'll hook you up with the proper equipment, I have an iMac but I remember when I was looking at car hook-ups for my iPod and then a new printer, over in the equipment section there was some sort of hook-up thing for the Mac book that went to the TV, but I totally forget what its called, I just know its there. I think it was some sort of AV cable that hooked up into your USB drive from the comp then you plugged the AVs in the TV.. I THINK thats what it was, but it'd be better to talk to the people there.

that's actually attainable, it in basic terms relies upon on which macbook professional you have. in case you have between the unibody professionals (later than october 2008) then your pc's video output is a mini exhibit port. i understand there are mini exhibit-HDMI adapters available, or you're able to get Apple's adapters. in case you have an HDTV, your superb wager is to get a mini exhibit-DVI adapter, and then a DVI-HDMI cable. the only problem with this set up is this doens't transmit audio, so ordinary RCA audio cables could do the trick. in the adventure that your Macbook professional is previous to October 2008, then your pc could have an entire sized DVI port, meaning all you may go with are the DVI-HDMI cable, and then your audio hookup. while you're particularly attempting to apply your pc as a television (ie: use it to video exhibit cable television), ElGato makes something referred to as the eyeTV. It sounds like somewhat flash rigidity, one end is usb and is going into your pc, the different end has a cable hookup, so which you would be able to easily screw your cable television cable into that and you will use it to video exhibit stay television. the two way, something you opt to do with that's attainable
