High standards do not come from only money. The way you live and conduct yourself in different situations of life, makes you an honorable person and this is a fairly good yardstick to be called a man of status. As to physical possessions, all I can say is that you spend wisely, invest prudently and in due time you will have what you want physically. Of course you will have to work systematically very hard.

Hello Sweetness :
This is such a great question ... I've got goosebumps !
It would be very easy for me to spend all day answering this one !
Everybody should really feel this way.
If you're planning to become the next President of the U.S. ... you've got my vote !
Back to your question ...
You need a role model to compare yourself to. Try to be as moral as your model.
( or whatever characteristics he/she may have). You'd have to also make the effort to copy the personality of your role model.
Now, play the game.
Try not to let yourself sink below the high standards of your model.
Be decisive ! ( I'm not going to regress !)
... I'll only accept the best from others !
... people that don't offer me the best will sink into my past and soon be forgotten !
If I was a fortune-teller I'd say you have a very successful future planned for yourself.

It's very hard. The first problem with high standards is we get judgmental, which as you know is a low standard. Then ego, also corrupting. Anger comes with judgment. To go further would require a book so I refer you to Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" as this isn't the appropriate place to type one and that would stretch Yahoo standards, I'm sure. "A word to the wise is sufficient, but a fool never learns." The word is Tolle. I got it at the library.

The first step is to have the courage to believe that you do deserve high standards, giving urself special attention will help alot, like building ur self esteem, taking care of urself, dont be suprised that sometimes small details can do wonders, & whats most important is to maintain high moral standards too, acting like a lady means u'll be treated like one. dont give up! decide to be your best no matter what! dont let this small negative inner voice distract u,always ignore it & move forward, LOVE URSELF

It is a good question to ask of yourself. Keep searching for excellence. If you read autobiographies from people that you may consider to have achieved something, you will see the same pattern that you are observing now. It helps to love Jesus and what that means. You can expect perfection in others, nor of yourself.

set limit for yourself and do not allow yourself to go below them.....there are situations in life where you have to comprimise but then there are others where you need to speak up and stand up for what you belive you deserve..it may be hard the first couple of times but once you do it and see the outcome it will get easier

Change your measuring tool from inches and feet to centimeters and meters.
Others are going to be others, whether you accept, or don't.
What you demand of yourself and the means by which you measure it is entirely your own choice.
