As an Englishman who is currently in the USA i fell i must ask this.
Most Americans i have encountered seem to drink shandy, is this because of the brain issue?

An American would never drink shandy (beer and lemonade). The beer they have over there is weak enough as it is, hardly any taste and they freeze the stuff!!!!!!

I have found that most American don't drink much, or even handle their booze very well. I put this down to religion, some Christians believe drinking alcohol is evil, and the age limit they start drinking.

Sidney, if you're going to continue to ask stupid questions about Americans, hoping to get Americans to answer, at least have the decency to leave out the Brit slang.

I know what Shandy is, but only because a Brit bothered to tell me. Most Americans won't know what Shandy is, and therefore your question will be even more worthless than it was to begin with.

Substitute the word "Shandy" for "Wine Cooler". I know they're not the same, but you'll get the same desired result.

Sincerely, a helpful American.

On a previous answer, I guessed that you were never in America, and that someone took you to the set of Eastenders and told you it was America, and you were too stupid to know the difference. I see now I was right. No one here knows what a shandy is. When I was in London, and found out what it was, I was horrified. How ever, it always gave me a great comeback to that question, Why is American beer like making love in a canoe? (It's F'en near water)

BTW previous distributions of shandy's are accurate, how ever lemonade in England is what we call 7up or sprite here.
So the directions are
1; pour half a glass of beer
2; fill the rest of the glass with 7up
3; drink
4; vomit

ROFLMAO

Save your breath Sid, the Yanks don't even know what Shandy is:

(explanation for Americans : "Shandy" is a mixture of beer and lemonade aka "soda" - traditionally drunk by children, women and men who are a bit wimpy and can't handle their beer.)

American beer is piss-water anyway. Our tea is stronger!!

As a barmaid, I once saw an American tourist try to drink real Ale. They had to scrape him up off the floor after 2 pints, it was hilarious!!!

There is more to a shandy than their beer.

Have you tried Budweiser?

It's like making love in a punt.

Phukin near water.

Good thing there are some American shandy drinkers or you couldn't get donalded while across the pond...

No one I know drinks shandy. Sounds disgusting to me. And making insulting generalizations only exhibits narrow-minded and biased thinking.

You say you are an Englishman in the USA. You are a lousy ambassador for my country.
ffs join the real world.
And if any American meets and recognises you, I hope he - probably she - kicks the sh1t out of you.
GROW UP!

LOL- When I was there last, I once asked an American bird for a hand-shandy.
She ended up bending over for me and giving me the whole package.
