I had a bout of celebacy that lasted almost three years. I decided that I would abstain from sex, to find the man that loved me the most. I dated several men, and never gave it up. The one that wasn't in it for just the sex, he was the winner. My husband won out over six other men---and the sex when we did have it was explosive--and it still is!!!!

You aren't talking about self gratification though right? LOL--only sex between two people?? Right?? LOL

I would prefer not to live without it, but I have gone for very long periods without. However what I miss most is not always the actual sex act but the closeness, intimacy and sharing of something so private no one else can share.

So far it's been almost a year.
And I still don't need it.
How bad is that?!
I could actually go as long as I want without it...
so I'm gonna wait for somebody decent.

6 Months to a year. By then I'd be desperate, get drunk and make some bad decisions. I try to keep it to a 3 month period as to not have that problem.

Not long. Without her necture on a regular basis, I'm climbing the walls. She's as addictive as caffine.
