My whole country...The ancient civilisation we have, the big writers, the father of the Medecine, and the philosophes, the architecture, the letters, the spirit of this country, the monuments..
And of course the proud people of it, the hot people with the hospitality and the smile always available to help, always lovely under the sun and near the sea of my homeland..
Certainly, this is a personal opinion, others can believe the opposite, but i will not say which country it is..
Everyone can be proud of his own country, even of the smallest vilalge of it..And respectful also to the countries with whom they have differences..Because we are all human, we all want peace under the same sky...

I am proud of my country though not of how its government, etc. is fairing right now.

I am very proud though of how, after all of these decades of pain, violence, suffering, and starvation, the people that live there are SO hospitable and respectful to you up close. They would give anything to you if you needed it.

I hope Afghanistan has a chance to live in peace as a reward for its patience and perserverance. I think it has had enough of violence.

I don't live there, though. As a matter of fact, I have never even been there but know this info from my relatives, etc. and even though sometimes people downgrade my country, I know they are misinformed.

Well what makes me proud of my hometown is that my family's name is well respected around the town. And when my grandfather passed away a lot of people that knew of us came and gave us their simpathy. When we had his service so many people came you wouldn't be able to move without steeping on someone's toes. I thought that was pretty nice that all of those people took time out of their busy lives to come pay respects to a local business man. And also some of the people may not be the nicest rays of sunshines but you still learn to get along with everyone where I live.

I am proud of where I came from not because I was born from that country or for the achievments that our country earned but because of the hardships and the challenges our country had gone from the past few millenium.

The whole world had these challenges and the whole world faces it.

Answering as Greek - Italian:

Greece: The ancient Greek civilisation which is the one that all Western knowldge, technology, principals and culture are based on.

Italy: Renaissance, architecture, art, music, design, good taste...

Edit: "Archangel" (using a greek name) you dererve to be proud of your country and nation, but advertising British colonism and imperialism is not to be accepted by all. As for Hitler, it was the Greeks who dalayed him with their resistance, and lost the Barabarossa attack to Russia, because of the winter and the courage and bravery of Russian people. Some modesty wouldn't harm at all...

Britian - The British people are notoriously strong-willed and brimming with team spirit and unity. We are one United Kingdom as a whole.
Britian put an end to Hitler's rampage (I have nothing against the Germans) and fought back.
The British civillians pull together and march as one.
I love Britian!
(I also love Derbyshire, England because it's so peaceful but I'm more proud of Britain.)
Brittania!
"Rule Brittania, Brittania rules the waves. Britain never, never, never will be slain!"
