Okay, first...college is NOT real life. Call some high school pals. Join a club! Make friends! It is possible youre being negative and that shows, people feel it.
Second, college is not everything. Get through it and then guess what? Your life really begins. You could have dozens of pals in college and when you all go in different directions, pick up new friends, get married, new career...you may not hear from anyone in college.
If you are depressed, consider talking to your doctor. There are meds that can take the negative cloud away with zero side effects. I mean it. They make new drugs all the time. You don't have to take one with side effects. There are gentle drugs that can just take that edge off and make you feel better. Not high, not out of control at all, just erase the negative cloud.
Too often in life we are unhappy and want everyone else to fix it. For friends to find us, for friends to make it all better. Well, hey! Look at you! What can YOU do to make things better? Start looking for where you want to work out of college! Start your resume. Find an apartment you want to move to. Put a photo of your new life in your college dorm or apt.
You are able to cause LOTS of POSITIVE changes...you just need to ask questions of what YOU can do..not anyone else. Relying on others for your happiness is always poor planning, you know? Get out of the box and think of ways you can be happy again!
Get a dog...get a cat....call an old friend...call your granny....go home and visit the old town...go away and visit where you WANT to live....play video games....learn to make pasta or can tomatoes.....read funny books...see funny movies...listen to comedy on cd....watch stupid youtube videos..make your own happiness. Listen to happy music!
GO TO CHURCH. You may have to church hop. So what? Go to 2 a Sunday if you need to. You know what you will find at church? God. You know what else? Happy people full of PRAISE and kindness and people with hope...looking forward. You will leave church every week feeling GOOD!

I'm not sure you can bring your GPA all the way up to a 3. It would depend on how many units you have left and how you do in those classes. In any case, you're going to have to study your behind off to get a 4.0 the next two semesters.
Your internship could be the best part of your program. In an internship, you, of course, are supposed to learn things, but it is also a chance to practice all the things you have already learned. Pay attention to how those around you do their jobs. That's what you should try to emulate, if they're successful that is.
If you decide business is not for you, you have not waisted your time and energy in college. You will also not be alone. The average young person today will change careers, not jobs but careers, five times before retirement takes them. You could teach or work for a non-profit as a fund raiser. You could find a challenge working with a start up. It would not be very secure, but it might also be a lot of fun.
I can say I remember many of the people I met in college, but there are only three that remain in my circle of close friends, and one of them is my wife. My close friends I met at work and in my neighborhood. My best friend lived across the street from me. He was from a foreign country with different traditions, holidays and religion. We had so much fun getting to know them and watching their sons grow up. They, because of work, moved away, but we e-mail and call a lot. You will make friends. Right now, make acquaintances, a lot of them. You will remain friends with a few.
You are not failing at life. You're just starting off. It's like learning to ride a bike. You will fall down before you take off down the street. Skinned knees and torn jeans are a part of the process, but you will ride that bike.

It will take you years perhaps to understand this as I am still learning. A GPA will not make you happy. You have a 2.63 (which is what I about graduated with); now 20 years later I am holding a 3.8 getting my masters. GPA's only count for your first job (which you can just leave off your resume) or if you are applying to grad school (which you can reduce the value of by testing high on the GRE or whatever it is you would take).
College isn't about the GPA or retaining knowledge. Professions that require results from college are ususally those associated with masters or PHd's. College is about demonstrating that you can sign up for something and stick to it.
The businesss world is tough, no doubt. Maybe you are or maybe you are not cut out for it. Think about what you love to do, and do it. Finish your degree in whatever, and do what you love. I don't care if it's looking at birds, counting sheep or growing daisies. If it's what you love, you will be happy and succesful.
Don't let the pressures get to you. It's only school.

Unfortunately, since you are so close to graduating it would be quite difficult to switch majors without it being really expensive. If you are unhappy with your choice of major, I know several people that have been in the same situation. After they graduated, they returned to school to get a Masters in something they really enjoyed. About your GPA, I am not sure how many credit hours you are taking in order to calculate your GPA with the needed grades to bring your current GPA up to a 3.0. Honestly, as long as you are passing your classes, you don't have much to worry about. Although its great that you are concerned with your grades, which you obviously are. You arent failing at life at all. Your GPA in general really isnt that bad, its a C+. Could be WAY worse. Hang in there until you graduate and do the best that you can with your classes, even if it only brings your GPA up to a 2.95 or something. The internship might be a lousy job for the time being, but after you graduate you might find something you really enjoy.
