Oil Companies.......If all his power comes from renewable sources, is he the only one? Considering that, Nationwide, only 6% is renewable energy, solar is 1% of that and wind is 2.3% of that........
• Al Gore's average monthly electric bill in 2006: $1,200 (source: AP).
• Al Gore's total electric consumption in 2006: 191,000 kilowatt hours (source: AP).
• Average annual electric consumption per U.S. household (in 2001): 10,656 kilowatt hours (source: EIA).
Based on the above, Al Gore consumed roughly 18 times the national household average in kWh of electricity last year -- a differential which is probably only slightly mitigated by the following:
• The stated national household average, though accurate, is six years old and no doubt on the low side.
• Average usage varies widely by region. In Nashville, for example, where Gore lives, the average consumption per household is 15,600 kilowatt hours per year, almost 50% higher than the national average (source: AP).
• At 10,000 square feet, the Gore residence, which also houses the former vice-president's office, is more than four times larger than the average new home built last year in the U.S. (source: AP).
You don't have an electric bill if you're generating it yourself...

ought to all of us leap in this so called worldwide warming band wagon. What led to the ice age? good no fossil fuels by making use of human beings - that's a warming trend not something greater. What created the oil in the middle east - effective became not the dinosaur - Oil is a organic happening even purely like the warming trend. Al Gore and worldwide warming are like oil and water it do not blend purely floats like the lavatory it rests in

For your information, Gore took a train to the Live Earth event from D.C. to NYC.
Why everyone slams Gore is beyond me. At least he's trying to educate, inform, and enlighten people about one of the Earth's most serious pending disasters.
The preponderance of those in the scientific community agree with Gore. Even the highly respected "National Geographic" magazine writes that global warming will be a serious threat to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. So, how will all you skeptics answer you beautiful little grand daughter when she crawls up on your lap and asks, "Grandpa...you KNEW about global warming - why didn't you DO something about it?" How will you answer her as she's trying to breathe fresh air through a gas mask, or as she watches the coastlines of our major U.S. cities disappear underwater?? -RKO- 07/09/07

Why are you so obsessed with Al Gore? Try taking some personal responsibility. Or don't conservatives believe in personal responsibility anymore?

Read in the local (Nashville, Al's "home") paper yesterday that Al is now worth well over $100 million, thanks to his "charity" work and his $175,000 per speaking fee.
Tennessee had it right in 2000 when they sent the message that the state was no longer his home. He has definitely become an all-star limousine liberal, jetting around to feel-good events while generating many more times the pollutants than any "normal" person could even hope to.

Al Gore is getting rich off selling Carbon Credits, his movie, speaking at events, etc. His Global Warming BS is making him filthy rich.
I wish I would have thought of it.
And I disagree with the answerer above. Boeing created the 787 not because the Government mandated them to... it was because CAPITALISM did. At $8+ per gallon for jet fuel, there was a NEED for more efficient jets. Boeing filled that need, and they are selling like crazy.
Companies will innovate new products that are good for the environment without the government taxing them to death or mandating anything. And that is the way it should be done.
Global Warming is a lie, but that does not mean we should destory the environment, or come up with cleaner technology... without being taxed or forced to live in a grass hut.

Salt of the earth. He is the dawning of the Day of Aquarius.
No doubt.
Geniuses have come from...high,
To sing praises of the guy.
And tho his information is razor thin,
He is the only voice they will let in.
Liberal airheads, that is.

Yep, but not enough. Our government must push and mandate change. Boeing just released a 787 that will save on gas and more efficient. We need more companies investing in ways to conserve energy and control emissions.
