There could be two answers, depending on the position of (x).
1. if 1/2(x) means x/2, the answer would be
f(-3)= -3/2+6 = 9/2 = 4.5
2. if 1/2(x) means 1 divided by 2x, then
f(-3)= 1/(-6) + 6= -6 + 6 =0.
This question perhaps should have been classified under 'homework help' or 'math'.
