I was 18 years old at the time that it happened. I remember coming downstairs from my bedroom when I saw my mother in the dining room sort of crying. She told me that Princess Diana was killed in a car wreck. I ran back up the stairs to turn on my TV to see if this was the truth. Sure enough...it was all over the news. I was completely shocked!! 'Til this day, she is still truly missed.

I suppose that is an nice query and a considerate one 2. She might be touched that you simply requested. Here in America I heard approximately it at the information and I was once in whole and utter surprise! I watched the complete funeral, ordinarilly crying and attempting to not cry, good, nearly blubbering! I felt sorry for her kids. My son was once handiest two or three at the moment, and that rather hit residence for me. Those princes had been so younger--I was once so pleased with them, how they walked within the funeral procession. I nonetheless bear in mind all of the vegetation piled up top! So touching! I've under no circumstances visible a extra lovely funeral have compatibility for a princess--that says plenty approximately who you're as nation, a men and women, human historical past rather. All this went by way of my brain whilst I was once attempting to behave like a Brit with a stiff higher lip. I failed miserably! The day after she died, I had tickets in Boston to peer Irish Dancing. I was once watching ahead to it--actually, I was once so dissatisfied (I bear in mind that marriage ceremony robe!) I don't even bear in mind the exhibit!

I was still living at my Mum and Dad's house, and I was in bed at the time. My Mum had been trying to wake me up for about an hour before, and the last time she came into my room she told me to get up quick and watch the news because apparently Princess Diana was dead. My immediate reaction was to tell her to bog off, I thought it was just another trick to get me out of bed.

My sister and I had just pulled into our driveway after a road trip to Nashville and the news came over the radio. I remember thinking how awful it was for the two young princes to lose their mother.
