Comparison between iMac and....?

Question

Could someone please give me a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of an iMac and the latest Microsoft computer (im not sure if i should say Sony computer here instead of Microsoft...but i mean the software too, not just the hardware.)?

I´ve been searching around in the internet a lot, but unfortunately, i´ve only seem able to come across, either totally biased Apple-based or totally biased Microsoft-based answers and advice.

I´m just looking for the basic differences, whats better in what area, and such things. So, i´d really, really appreciate any objective help you could give me. :)

The hardware is virtually the same, functionally (except you can install Windows on a Mac (Gaming!!!), but not Mac on Windows, legally).

So, your other question is: OS X vs Windows (or Linux)

They are all different, offer different pros and cons, and fill different needs for different people. I personally believe that the best operating system is the one that YOU like to use and that meets ALL your needs.

That is the bottom line, it's your choice.

If your really asking: Is a MAC worth the price. IMHO, yes.

Try this experiment: Price out a MAC at www.apple.com Then, price out a virtually identical PC at www.Dell.com, www.hp.com etc.

Then, to compare Vista to OS X, add Vista Ultimate (like OS X), M$-Office (Neo-Office free for OS X), Norton Internet Security (OS X malware-NONE), Back up software (Included), and any other software you may need on the Windows PC.

Then, compare prices, you will find that the Mac PRICE will be very close to Windows.

Finally, go to an Apple Store and take one for a test drive, ask lots of questions, then, decide for yourself.
