I'm using a calender method and I am not pregnant and not trying to get pregnant. I wouldn't advise anyone else to use it though!

We are also using the 'pull out method' and we have been doing this for sometime now (maybe a year and a half?) and we haven't even fallen pregnant, and this is ONLY because we are lucky (or unlucky).

You are fertile during your WHOLE cycle, just at sometimes more fertile. Unless you are VERY intune with your body, you really understand your cycle, checking for mucus etc, this calender method probably wont work as birth control passed a few months. Remember sperm can live up to 5 days inside you...so think of an alternative method.

Calendar methods are only as reliable as the consistency of one's monthly cycles. Unless your cycle is absolutely predictable (in timing and duration), calendar methods won't work well.

Much more reliable (both for those trying to conceive and those trying not to) is what's called the Creighton method, which uses daily tracking of the presence and consistency of cervical mucous to identify periods of fertility. Basal temperature monitoring also works better than calendars, but not as well as Creighton.

Yes. There are chances to get pregnant even if you use a calandar method. However, the chance is very limited. The method is helpful to a great extent.

You sure can.....it might lessen the chances, but you can get pregnant at any point during the month.

Are you trying or not? If your trying, helps. If your trying not to, it helps a little but its not guaranteed.
