I've tried taking pills years ago. it's just now thati'll take it again. today is my second day and i do not feel well. i'm sleepy and really not in the mood for work.. for anything.. Anyway.. my major question is why can't you smoke while ur at it?

Smoking increases the risk of heart attack, blood clots, and other side effects of the pill. If you read the list of side effects on the pill, it can be scary. When the drug companies do their clinical trials, they are required to list every side effect experienced by people on the trial. It's best to not smoke if you're on the pill, especially if you're older than 35.

Taking the contraceptive pill increases your risk of high blood pressure and sometimes blood clots which can cause strokes and heart attacks. Unfortunately, smoking does just the same and so taking the pill when you smoke, is a bit like sitting on an unexploded time bomb....

Add the woman being overweight too and she is really in trouble!

When you are on birth control pills, the drugs in the pills make the blood easier to clot. Same with smoking. So when you put these two together, you are increasing the risk of blood clotting which may cause serious problems with your body such as strokes.

smoking restricts the blood vessels that carry oxygen to your organs. the pill can also reduce flow and cause blood clots that is why it is not a good idea and the older you are the greater the risk.
