without knowing your application ....

but that you mention 2 gb ram, you are sure in a position to pay the added price for the better processor !

For internet, office apps, MP3, DVD movies, most games and other light apps, there would hardly be any difference. There would only be noticeable difference in some benchmarks, media encoding, demanding game like Oblivion (assuming GPU is capable) and other heavy apps meant for workstations.

BUT if you are thinking of serious gaming, better choose the GPU first then processor second.

Are the processor clock speeds the same? (The GHz rating.) If so, you're not going to really notice the improvement. It'd be 5% or so, tops, really. If you're pressed for cash, go ahead and save it. If you want the best performance you can get, a little boost won't hurt, especially if you're into resource-intensive gaming.

T7100 is faster.
if you are a hardcore gamer you need this and a good graphic card.

if not, choose the other one.
still can enjoy many games (like sims 2 and counter strike source), movies and entertainments.

The difference won't be that significant, i'd buy the T5250, as it is cheaper. Trust me, it's not worth buying the slightly faster one for a higher price.
