My mother-in -law collects Dept. 56. She gets some of her stuff from Hallmark, usually in Sept. and Oct.
She also goes to Frankenmuth, MI (Christmas town, USA)
Check out bronners.com

I have seen some wonderful online pictures but it has been a long time. If I can find them again (or any others) I will post a link for you. I know that Hallmark stores also carry a Halloween village. So does Target, although theirs doesn't look so great (even though I like Target's other Halloween decorations). I am making the village from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (not Sleepy Hollow, the movie) and am using a combination of Spooky Town pieces, like the headless horseman, and pieces I am doing myself. I bought a paper mache house and a little wooden house from a craft store and am painting and decorating them.

My mom collects those. You can look at hallmark or online at Department56.com. She used to buy them from a little macy's store in the mall.
