Well, I think we should be counting the existing ones... So for me it is the Parthenon, the Rocks of Meteora, the mount of Athos, the Monastery of Amorgos, the Poseidon temple at Cape Sounio, the Knossos, the island of Santorini...

You could add me as well, but that would a little arrogant now wouldn't it ? :P:P Just kidding of course... :)

Let's leave all this patriotism aside and accept that the Parthenon should be eternally on of the seven wonders, but there is also Aya Sofia, the pyramids, the Sinic wall, and some other wonders of architecture and tecnology, spread out all over the world.

I would suggest that even Venice must be considered as a wonder too, since it has been built in the middle of a lagoon, on unstable soil of tiny islands, and the whole city with its palaces, houses and churches is standing on wooden supporting piles...

And let's be objective: I adore places like Symi or Delphi, but they are not wonders of architectural tecnology, as the Parthenon or the Pyramides...

Edit: Tolia, you are right..The Bridge of Rio-Antirio is a wonder indeed, its bases standing on that depth of the sea...

I am lucky to have seen a lot of what you call Greek Wonders; and after 15 years of several trips every year, I still need to come back in the coming years to try to see more.
Until now: Ancient Corinth, Mystras, Knossos, Athens, Rhodes old city, Lindos, Mani... why 7only, there is so much more.. Olympia, Epidavros, Mycenes, Arcadia (Crete), Lasithi (Crete), Mykonos, Monemvasia...
Once on holiday, any small fishing port around Greece for me is a small wonder...
Your question however asks for 7 'new' wonders..:
New Athens Airport / better roads / Athens Metro / ERTworld TV satellite worldwide / more airports throughout Greece & islands / better railway connections / ouzo on ice..
Greece is a wonder on itself.

Greece is a wonder herself! Every path, every street, every inch of the ground we walk is a wonder.
Acropolis, Meteora, Vergina, Knossos, Faistos, Delphi, Olympia, Mykines, and so many others. But one thing that many forget is Agia Sofia in Konstantinoupolis(really i dont want to say the word Instabul).

I would rather not. Its rather awkward, if not silly, to start voting for "wonders". This is probably what an "el cheapo" bar competition in Texas would do for the hottest wet boobies in town...:). "Damn...that's a "wonder" cause.... duuuude I saaay so...! Damn yeah!"

And then why 7 really? I would die to know the 8th that didn't make it...Is it because it has fewer statues? is it "kinda" smaller? or "kinda" less sexy?
