Cons-It's hard and dangerous. You have to make everythign and be totally self-sufficient, down to the air you breath. The slightest malfunction or accident could kill you horriblly.

Pros-No crowds, plenty of outdoors to enjoy, including the tallest mountain in the solar system. It's pretty Earth-like, in terms of things like gravity and day cycle, so it would be easier to adjust to than, say, the moon.

Not too sure about the pros and cons but it would be a pretty cool idea. I don't suppose there's any global warming up there...so it must be a little better than Earth. But then again, think of all the places you wouldn't have there like say Dunkin' Donuts or other fast food joints and other stuff you love on Earth.

Pros: Not much. I guess there would be a chance to start over away form the political and ecological mess on Earth. Low gravity might be fun. If terraformed it mgiht be ok. It woudl be a good stopping point for intstellar travel.

Cons: No magnetic field to keep out radiation. Not much of an atmosphere (and what atmosphere it does have is toxic), massive sandstorms, it's damn cold, no oxygen, the general if-you-go-outside-without-a-suit-you-die sort of thing. It's also six months travel away, so you can't juet hop on home if something goes bad.

Pros: An entire world to explore with countless discoveries to be made!

Cons: You will have to learn to live off the land, produce your own air, food and water. You´ll need to figure out how to generate electricity, how to stay warm, get mobile while keeping from being exposed to the fatal atmosphere. Oh wait! Those are just more pros...

first con is the cost to get there, then of course there is no oxygen in the atsmosphere, then you wouldn't be able to go anywhere without putting on a space suit and ofalso you would get very lonely! How is that for a few? Pros, Nobody would bother you and oh yea, NO bugs!
