My dog - Omega; she was the last born in the litter.
My fish - Lt. Walleye and Capt. Bubbles; Walleye has these huge eyes and bubbles has bubble cheeks. We gave them ranks just for fun.
My (now dead) spider: Sgt. Fuzzarello; He was fuzzy. And the rank was because of the fish, so he didn't feel inferior.

Sadie.
We wouldn't have called her that, but we adopted her when an acquaintance couldn't keep her. That person had changed her name to Sadie, and she was having a hard time learning her new name, so we didn't change it so she didn't get even more confused. (We later learned her original name was Sasha.)
If it had been up to me to name her (technically, she's my dog), I would most likely have called her either Blondie or Tinkerbelle. She's a really light tan, more like blonde, and if she was human, she'd definitely be a little cheerleader with a pony tail sticking up on top of her head. (Not the stuck up kind of cheerleader--the really friendly kind who is nice to everyone, even nerdy kids.)
Even if we didn't pick the name, we love her so much we love the name, too. She's just a really sweet little dog with a great personality. We really hit the doggy jackpot when we adopted her.

Lucky.
I adopted him from the SPCA. He looked a bit ill and I took him by the vets. He was dehydrated and they gave him fluids. Long story short, the SPCA forgot to vaccinate him on intake and he had contracted an often lethal virus (parvo). I had never seen something that sick.
The vet said they could not promise they could save him...only support his fluids while he fought off infection. It would cost hundreds of dollars to save him...
AGH, new cat...huge bill...what to do?
Just then, the cat buried his head in the crook of my arm and purred, even though he was too weak to stand.
They kept him at the vet for a week. Six hundred dollars later I had a skinny but healthy cat.
I named him Lucky.
Really though, I am the lucky one...there was never a more devoted and loving cat.

My first pet was a little baby hamster. My mom said that I couldn't get one, but then my nieghbors hamster had babies, and they needed a home, so my mom relented. We went out and bought all of the stuff that you need like food and a cage. Then my nieghbor brought it over. We brought it down to the basement and my little brother was so excited that he started playing with him (we assumed it was male) right away. Then my brother squeezed him really hard and he stopped moving. Obviously I was very upset, because my first pet had died 5 minutes after I got him. But then the hamster got back up and bit my brother's finger. So, my brother at the young age of 5 named him Pretend-o.

Genevieve-My dog was named after the dog in the Madeleine movie, because she looked similar to the dog in the movie!!
I have two rescue cats-
Puzzle 18months tortishell and white aka calico in american terms-Her markings reminded me of a Jigsaw Puzzle, and have recently discovered a heart shape mark directly on her shoulder blandes.
Cameo-2yrs old Grey and white tortishell&white aka calico in american terms-my mum named her. Mum doesn't realise the pinkish tan found in tortishell&calico is not called Cameo, she calls the pinkish tan colour Cameo!

My first scorpions name was scorp
3 years later and 25 more scorps after two mothers gave birth just this year, I have found it impractical to name them as I would have trouble keeping track of them XD

My mini poodle is Derringer. She was the runt of the litter, and even full grown, fits in my pocket. She doesn't know she's that small. She still tries to take on the horses and cows.

I called my cat Mellow as she fell asleep under the mellow bush while we were trying to think of a nice name. And her personality was mellow to so its was a name that suited her. However i have since been told that the bush is called a mallow bush not mellow . The cat is still mellow....
