Well, first of all, as soon as I read this question, my English teaching hackles went up! Neveah is NOT Heaven spelled backwards; Nevaeh is!

Now, for the actual name....umm....that is not cool. First of all naming a child Heaven is just putting that child up for ridicule. Boys will have a hay day with that one: "Can I *** in to Heaven..." Oh, my what is your relative thinking? Also, the Heaven backwards is silly and hard to pronounce : ( I don't usually bash people's name choices, especially after the child is already named, but I couldn't keep my fingers from typing this time.

I would strongly encourage the person who named their daughter to go back to the drawing board on this one!!!!
Suggestions: If your cousin is set on one or the other, I guess Nevaeh as a middle name is okay : ? Yet, I would tell her to look up "heaven" on a baby name site and find a name that means heaven or has something to do with heaven. http://www.behindthename.com is a good place to search!

I like Heaven (although I would never call my child Heaven) but I absolutely hate Neveah with a passion, it's a stupid attempt to call a child something different, but in reality it just sounds ridiculous!!

No. That's just kind of stupid. It's on a baby name site that makes fun of names.

Sorry, no. I think Heaven sounds a little "stripper-ish" lol and Neveah is okay but everyone is using it! The 2 together are awful...but thats just my opinion :)

Neveah doesn't spell heaven backward.. Look again, and then rethink the name.. Don't saddle the poor baby with this name!

Why would anyone do that? its Heaven Heaven really, they both mean the same thing; its very silly and I feel sad for the little one. Its like naming a child Shawn Jon which both have the same meaing, just horrible; but meh can't tell people what to do... :P

Congrats on coming up with a really stupid name. Can't you imagine what the kids in it's elem. class would say? Think about it for a minute...you would basically be sentencing your kid to a life of torture. Maybe you should change your name to this, and test it out.

Absolutely horrendous. I pity any child cursed with such an awful name.
