The Godfather - classic movie about a mob family in NY. Three movies in total. The first one (in my opinion) is the best out of the three! A must watch!
Scarface - a movie about a Cuban immigrant who comes to the USA to achieve the American Dream. Very good movie.
Man on Fire - a movie about a man who is given the task to protect a little girl in Mexico. Some trouble befalls her, and the movie rocks from there.
Three great ones there if you ask me!

Crank-A man is injected with a poison that will kill him if he does not keep his heart rate up. He sets out to kill the man who did this. It's a really great movie. It has some humor. Some action. Some sex. Some drugs. I love it.
Shaun of the Dead- A parody of Dawn of The Dead. Probably one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
BASEketball- Two guys invent a new sport combining basketball and baseball. This movie is hilarious. I don't know anyone who doesn't like it.
Secretary- A woman gets a job as a secretary. Her relationship with her boss turns into a sadist/masochist relationship. It's a pretty kinky movie. But it's definitely a good one.
The Chumscrubber- Dean's best friend who supplies drugs to kids at school commits suicide. 3 of the kids set out to look for the stash. And dean is the only one who knows where it is. He refuses to give the drugs to them and things spiral down from there. If you're into to more indie type films then this would be great for you.
Buffalo 66'- A man kidnapped a girl and takes her home to his parents. He tells her to pretend to be his girlfriend. This is another really great indie film.

it depends on what kind of films your into, i'm into anime, sci-fi and action films and my favourite films are:
howl's moving castle - about a wizard named howl who lives in this really big thing called a moving castle. a girl named sophie gets this curse put on her and she runs away and ends up living with howl. it's basically a bit of a love story. christian bale does the voice of howl.
final fantasy VII: advent children - there is only one problem with this film, you kinda need to have played the games to understand what the hell is going on. the entire film is CGI and it has the best action sequences i have ever seen in any film just because it's completely CGI and they can basically do anything. it's just a totally cool film.
serenity - this film also has just one problem. it doesn't seem that great a film unless you have watched a tv series called firefly. if you have, then great! you'll love this film. if you haven't then either you watch this and think it's not that great or you go and watch firefly first (which i highly recommend). this is a sci-fi film that has a great mix of old and new. it's kinda like a futuristic western with space ships and cool guns. the main characters are smugglers who are harbouring a couple of fugutives. it's got great humour and the characters are really likeable.
300 - based on a graphic novel. the style of the film makes it so great to watch, it has a brilliant storyline and the actors playing the characters are brilliant. it really is a good film, the effects are so cool, you actually see people's arms and legs being cut off!! lol
those are just a few of my favourites cos there are way too many to mention!!

One of my favourite movies of all time is Local Hero. Made in the early 80s, it is about an oil firm looking to expand their operations by putting in a land based refinery in the north of Scotland.
It is a comedy based on the greed of individuals etc. but not in a moral way, and even though the wardrobe may be dated the film itself is not.
With Fulton Mackay (Porridge) Burt Lancaster (need I say more) amongst others, and basically all Scots who had an equity card, appear in the movie.
Some great cameos aside from the main story lend this film its genuine endearing qualities.
It was recently voted the most beautifully shot British film of all time, and couple that with a score by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and you might begin to understand why this is my 2nd favourite movie of all time.

Fantastic four return of the silver surfer is a good film.
Based on the archetypal Marvel comic book characters, this second Fantastic Four title sees the first family of superheroes - ‘Mr Fantastic’ (Ioan Gruffudd), ‘The Invisible Woman’ (Jessica Alba), ‘The Human Torch’ (Chris Evans) and ‘The Thing’ (Michael Chiklis) – meet their greatest challenge yet. The Silver Surfer :)
