My ex husband is the center of a lot of controversy in the area where he lives. He runs porn sites for a living.

Anyway, from 18-20 he took nude photos of me (NOT PORN). He was on Fox News last week and they were showing my photos without my permission. My ex does not have any model release forms signed by me, but he does have them on his portfolio website.

Yes, I did say that my future in laws saw the pictures, but they already knew that I had taken them, so that wasn't a huge deal. The huge deal is that they were shown on the national news and I have nothing to do with him now... I was just dragged into it.

I'm not looking for people to judge me or tell me, "Oh, well you took porn pictures... too bad for you." I would like to know if there is anything I can do about my images being shown on the national news. That's all.

Thank you.

If he's making a profit off your pictures, sue the scumbag for all he's worth. It's misappropriation of your image/likeness and in many states it's illegal. You might also have a separate claim of invasion of privacy against your ex and Fox News, although it's harder to win against Fox since news organizations get a little more leeway.

They obviously didn't show the nude photos, they must have been edited (either blurred or just showed you face).

Anyway, I would think that once you have posted your pictures on a website, especially a free web site (you said it was on his portfolio website so I am assuming it's free), then you have lost all expectation of privacy.

Your ex husband may have a case if the material was copyrighted, but I doubt it.

You may have a case against your ex husband because he does not have any model release forms signed by you.

They do not need for you to sign a talent release as your husband became "newsworthy" and the pics were posted on his sight....a talent/model release would be necessary if there was any exchange of money (if Fox has paid him for the pics).

A better solution may be to ask you ex husband nicely to remove them from his website and contact Fox and ask that they not run them anymore as you are no longer a part of this man's life (they may agree to do so in exchange for an exclusive interview from an "insider's" or "ex-wife's" perspective and you could ask the your image and voice be blurred and your voice disguised).

You have a lawsuit against FOX. If you are over 18, you own the copyright to your image. They can not use any photo of you without your written permission.

Any questions, check the US copyright laws.

Where can I see these nude photos -that aren't porn- to judge for myself the violation?

i dont know anything about law, but it would seem that he had violated your rights and if you never discussed this sort of situation when you took the pictures it could be up in the air. talk to a lawyer.
