I open payslips, bills, bank statements and mobile phone mail etc, cos I do the administration and he just leaves it laying around untill I move it out of the way. Any other mail on his name I open too , except birthday cards or other hand written mail addressed to him.

Not without asking him first! But he always opens my mail, which I have reason to believe is unlawful.Hubby also has the annoying habit of ripping up my Poll Card whenever there is an election on! Just cause he don't want to vote, doesn't mean he should deprive me of mine!

What's his is mine, what's mine is my own! lol

I'm only joking we've not got secrets either, our post and bank accounts have always been shared for the past 39 years, it's never been an issue with us, maybe that's why our marriage has lasted so long.
My husband doesn't open my birthday cards but I wouldn't mind if he did. Like I said we share everything! x

I NEVER open my partner's mail. We also have nothing to hide from each other. However, we must have trust in our relationships. There is a fine line between having nothing to hide from each other, and allowing each other some privacy.

Who ever is home when the mail arrives, they normally open it, apart from birthday cards.

Yes, I make sure all the bills are paid, but most are in his name so I do open them. I don't open cards though, for obvious reasons.

NEVER in a month of Sunday's if it doesn't have my name on it then I don't open it but my wife will open mine excepr if it's from my family and to be truthful It doesn't matter to me who opens it as you may have noticed I'm an open kinda person.

Not if its a birthday card or a package of something, he'll show it to me anyway. If its bills or credit card offers or stuff like that I will.

Quite a few people have answered this with the comments 'no secrets in our house', or, as you included in your question, 'we have nothing to hide'. This also applies in our household, yet I wouldn't dream of opening my partner's mail.
It's not addressed to me; it's as simple as that.
