It looks like the power supply is detecting an overload condition in one of the voltage rails and causing auto-shutdown (a safety feature).

Try running your PC w/ bare minimum. That means detached FDD, HDD and CD drive. Also detach any card on the PCI slots except video (in case you are still on PCI graphics) and devices on the USB ports. The minimum set up is capable of starting the PC and opening BIOS menu. If your PC works up to BIOS, you can then shut it down and install the devices you removed, one at a time, starting w/ the HDD. The device that will bring back the problem is the defective one.

If PC still does not start w/ bare minimum set up, try reseating the processor cooling fan connector. Also try dismounting the motherboard and operate the bare minimum setup with the board not touching any metal part of the case. Portion of the motherboard may have been grounded to the PC case.

Chances are you have a defected motherboard! Can be very common in lower quality less expensive boards! And maybe even in higher quality boards! I recommend taking your Motherboard back or getting a new one with the same pin set as your processor! That or check your manual and make sure all of your mother board jumpers are correct! That can also be the problem! Mother boards have a jumper on there to reset the motherboard! Sounds like that jumper could be set wrong! Check your manual and if that doesn't work I recommend returning or getting a new motherboard! Hope this helps!

Have you tried replacing the memory sticks? If you did, then the problem in your computer is, probably, due to heat expansion.

On some computers, turning off after keeping them on for a large period of time and then immediately turning them on again can result in the symptoms you've described. This usually occurs due to not letting the memory enough time to purge it's buffers, or heat accumulated in the computer is messing with some piece of hardware.

In any case, it's always better to wait at least 20 to 30 seconds before turning on the computer again after having it on.
