I think the Earth will still be around 100 years from now. It's definitely headed into the ground right now, but there will come a time (most likely very soon) when the people of the Earth will HAVE to stop killing each other just for a little while so that we can get our planet back on track.

Yes it most certailny will. (Note: This is from a scientific perspective, not a religious one).
It will survive at least five billion years until the sun expands, at which opoint tidal interaction MAY suck it into the sun, which would break every atomic bond on the planet. If not, it woudl survive as a cinder for a long time until it is abosrbed by something or it evaporates (yes this happens- everything in spacve is slowly evaporating as atoms are lost. It takes ages though- trillions of years for a planet).
LIfe will get wiped out sooner.
The only immediate threat woudl be vacuum decay- that's when space collapses inot a different lower energy vacuum state- bu you can't see that coming, so who knows?
An asteroid coudl break it apart, but chances are it would just melt the planet rather than smash it, and the parts would regroup or make a new moon (but currently nothing big enough is heading this way).

Think about all the technical breakthroughs in the past 100 years. Now in 2107 imagine all the ones were have then. Sure research is slower because of money but money was still an option 100 years ago. I'd say were in it for the long run.

Gee I'm having a hard time to top yep and yeppers. But I think manking will be around for a long time. We are the most intelligent and adaptable species on the planet. Some of us may be idiots or ignorant, but I believe that good will overcome evil and that barring some unforseen incidents we will be around until the sun explodes (and that gives us 200 million years) ;)

Definitly. People think that the humans are gunna be wiped out by a nuclear war but Im sure that with all the alliences going on the next big war is probably gunna end fast.
I might be completly wrong but thats my two cents

yes, even more than a million, if you think by this time humans will go extinct because of global warming, well NO, coz' our ancestors survived the ice age, the earth will not last a 100 yrs if we get hit by a supersized asteroid

I think that the world as we know it will end right about November 2008 when Hillary Clinton is elected President of the United States. She will most likely choose Bill Clinton as her Vice President.

yes,our planet has survived for more than a million years. It had suffered in different kinds of hazard (man made or environmental) such as meteors (the one that wiped out the dinosaurs...hahaha),earthquakes,volcanic eruption, bombing, tsunami, and etc...and yet our planet still revolves and it continiously will. Hey man!think about it...a mere 100 years..hmmmp!CHICKEN..

Yes, but not so sure man will not ruin it with nuclear weapons..I'm hoping the world will realize this and not ever let the bombs go.. Then, who knows how long the earth could hold up...
