Are European Universities as good as American for graduate degrees?

I'm considering some universities in the UK and in Switzerland for my graduate degree rather than returning to the US. If you have a degree from a European institution, I'd really appreciate your info and input, especially regarding the marketability of a European degree.

Actually if the Graduate degree you want is in either business or international affairs, or Politic Science, a post graduate- degree from a European university would be extremely marketable, mainly because you get to experience another countries way of doing things.

They did a survey in Ireland of employers and found that they would higher someone who had work experience in another country over a masters from a domestic university or IT.

Marketability where? Obviously a European degree in some fields would be much more marketable in Europe than in the USA and vice versa, but if you are in, say, chemistry or bioengineering, then the marketability will depend on the individual reputation of your degree department, even more than the university.

If you expect to have a career in Europe then you should get your graduate degree in Europe. If you expect to have a career in the USA you should study in the USA, unless you are planning to work in international business and need to develop multi-language fluency. The top schools in Europe and the top USA schools are well known around the world. If you graduate from Duke, UChicago, Stanford, the Ivies, etc then your degree will be recognized in Europe. If you graduate from Oxbridge then everyone in the USA professional world will know who you are.

What part of America are you from? North or South in the North there are several Countries like Mexico Cuba Canada and a few more. You see we are all Americans.

Dutch,german, english and some french colleges are considered to be better
