would drinking someone else's spit be harmful.?

I have a group of about 15 guys I teach thru church, as a small group. I was wondering if I had them each spit in a shot glass, and as a matter of trust, when the shot came back to me, I'd drink it. Would it be harmful. And by the way I know these guys real well too. Let me know.

if theyre sick... but that is just disgusting. that isnt trust, that is like a dare. and this is a church? yeah... u can have them do that thing where they fall back in2 the other persons arms... but the spit is nasty.

I guess your bodies defense mechanisms would take care of most germs that were contained in the spit. It would certainly be a foreign substance to your body, therefor your immune system might go into overdrive to take care of any germs. It probably doesn't sound very aesthetic to swallow so much foreign saliva though. If you say that none of them have any diseases you should be okay. Not something that I would want to try, but I am pretty sure you will be alright. I don't know how swallowing so much saliva builds any kind of trust though. I thought you had better things at church to do, I mean pray and stuff like that then to be swallowing other people's spit, sounds a little kinky to say the least and somewhat gay, but hey there you go, who am I to judge.

yes, because they could have stds or anything, and you don't wanna take the risk, go get tested for stds before you drink and have the person you are going to drink for get tested also.
