A child, it means you love them no matter what they do. With your child it's easier, because no matter what they will always be yours.

UN conditional means loving without conditions, or loving them no matter what happens, what is said, or done. It is almost impossible to do, as everyone usually has boundaries and things they will not tolerate.... I would think it could be done easier with a child.

both, it all depends on the situation, but unconditional love goes for both .

definately towards a child.
a spouse has responsibilities and you can not love unconditionally someone who doesnt take care of his responsibilities.
