Long ago, ages ago, the worlds climate was unsteady. The weather was wakky, and the atmosphere was new. But then, time went on, animals died, plants died, and over time... fossil fuels became more and more abbundant. Then the climate calmed, Then we started taking the fossil feuls out of the earth, and the ozone, had a hole punched through it. So what if, with out the fossil fuels, the earth can't function properly. So of course the world would slowly over time start to go crazy. But then, with the hole in the ozone, it quickened the pace. So the earth started to malfunction, so thats why everything is the way it is, By taking out the fossil fuels can only hurt the earth, cause without the fossil feuls the earth can't function properly.

While I am still on the fence as to whether global warming is happening I do know this, the current reasoning for it is farfetched.

Fact: Scientists have measured the temperature of the sun and have evidence it is not only slowly getting hotter, but that it will do so for the next billion years or so

Fact: The number one green house gas is water vapor.

As the sun heats up it will evaporate more water causing more water vapor, thus speeding up the greenhouse effect exponentially. Scientists are unsure how long this will take and could in fact take a few million years.

So armed with this new found knowledge what sounds more convincing to you?

The temperature readings saying the gigantic ball of fire in the sky is emitting more heat each year thus increasing the most potent greenhouse gas on the planet.

Or

Your car gets crappy gas mileage.

Note: many scientists no longer believe oil to be a fossil fuel as the chemical composition doesn't match up or support it. This is still being debated, but I just thought I'd throw it out there for the heck of it.

the earth does not run on fossil fuel..
the only correlation between fossil fuel and the weather is that usage of fossil fuel produced harmful gas that pollutes the earth and causes green house effect, which means the trapping of heat near the earth's surface by the gases in the atmosphere, particularly carbon dioxide. calculation shows that if the atmosphere did not contain carbon dioxide, earth would be 30degrees cooler. however, make note that carbon dioxide is still needed by plants in small amount.

The hole in the ozone is not caused by usage of fossil fuel but the usage of CFC(chlorofluorocarbon), which produces reactive chlorine which thens reacts with ozone, hence depleting the ozone layers. ozone layer is important because it prevents UV radiation emitted by the sun from reaching earth's surface.

"By taking out the fossil fuels can only hurt the earth, cause without the fossil feuls the earth can't function properly."
Your theory is actually quite ridiculous..i'd say that because you have not provide any evidence or facts to support your theory. Also, a lot of things contribute to global warming not just the usage of fossil fuel. There's also forest fire, tall buildings with glass windows[that reflects light and heat], deforestation[cutting down trees for urbanisation]..etc..
all these affects the earth's climate in some ways.

The problem is not the absence of fossil fuels from the ground. It's the presence of the products of combustion of all those fossils in the atmosphere. Those gasses let sunlight in, but they don't let heat out, so the Earth has already started to get hotter, and it's going to continue to get hotter for the rest of your life.

What ridiculous? It's not ridiculous but it's very true. I can just felt it in Malaysia. It's quite hot here sometimes. If you want to know the fact of global warming, go and watch the inconvinient truth(best documentary). It tells you everything you need to know. = ) BUT as I know a hole in ozone layer can affect the global warming. It's contributing(watch the inconvinient truth). Find more facts before posting the question, sweet.... =)

what? theres a hole in the ozone? global warming is happening because there is too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because we are burning too much fossil fuels (MAJOR POLLUTION) and driving too many cars (MORE pollution) and cutting down too many trees (eats carbon dioxide and produces oxygen). we are taking more out of the earth then the earth can provide...we are putting excess carbon dioxide in our atmosphere which creates the green house effect. whats so ridiculous about it? its complicated but not ridiculous.

the hole in the ozone has nothing to do with global warming.

also it is true that carbon levels used to be a lot higher than what they are tody but so where the sea levels. that is the major concern. if sea levels rise to the carboniferous period (when carbon levels where highest) levels many cities will go under water.

You're an animal lover, and yet you dispute global warming even though one of the major side effects of global warming is the highest extinction rate in the history of the planet. Hmm, interesting stance you're taking here, little girl.
