I am not sure that I understand your question. Do you mean that your UPS will last approximately 30 minutes when the A/C power has failed and you are running on battery?

If this is a computer that runs all of the time, then I suggest that you:
1) make sure that the UPS monitoring cable is connected from the UPS data port to the computer.
2) either plug the monitor into a surge protected port without battery backup, or set the monitor to go into standby after 1 minute on battery.
3) Set the power saver features of the computer to automatically hibernate or shutdown the computer when less than 10% of the battery power is left. Also set it to turn itself back on when the power is restored.
4) Many hardware devices, such as network cards, will allow the computer to shut them down to save power. Enable those features, where applicable.
5) Do not use wireless connections when on battery.
6) Plug speakers, and other peripherals into a non-battery surge-protected port.

What do you mean? Desktop PCs don't have a battery like laptops.... If you just want to extend the runtime, either get a bigger capacity UPS or shorten the time until the monitor turn off or standby mode kicks in. A UPS isn't going to keep you running for long- it's intended to cover short power outages only- at a minimum it gives you time to save your work and shut down normally.
