evolution, the working portion of the theory is that :
1. a niche has to exist
2. a mutation which thrives in that nich has to happen
3.an Advantage with the mutation has to exist.
4. selective breading must happen to cary on this trait caused by the mutation.
if we came from monkeys all four of these things had to happen monkeys can still exist expecially if we do not compete with monkeys for food or habitat.
the illistration I learned in my pitiful college level bio class was that of a moth found in early industrial england where coal burning had made white trees turn black. there was a white moth which for some reason rested on or ate the white bark of the tree. when the environment changed the trees to black the birds started to be able to see the moth and killed it more than before.(the cammoflage was defeated) there occured a mutation which turned the moth black increasing the moths cammo and ability to avoid being eaten. it lived longer and mated more and passed on the mutation. pretty soon there were few white moths left and the mutation had caught hold in the majority of the population. there were still white moths left which had a decreased range(only white trees allowed them to live) and the majority of white trees had turned black providing a different niche and advantage for the black ones.
so if we came from the great apes it happened in such a mutation, niche creation, advantage, and selective breading. there would still be great apes but we would fill the new niche and not have the same things kill us and we would become more populus because of our mutation..... and soon to come... humans vers. 2.8 to space frontiers near you! wahoo!
