But I don't know anything about it. I have a 1yr old and I also am 27weeks pregnant. I have BAAAD Anxiety I wont go into a Store by myself I get really nervous. Its pretty annoying. I wont even go to a gas station to fill my car up alone. So yea my Mom called me talking about Paxil and she said she thought I should try it after I have my baby.

Does anyone know much about it?? If it really helps for Anxiety or is it some kinda Depression pill. Because that'll just make me feel 10 times worse! I need help dealing with my Anxiety and plus Im gonna have 2 kids and my 1yr old has been wanting to go out more.

to me i would rather talk to family about my problems because they know what i've been throug not a counselor i've talked to them before and i just didnt like it. oh and they put me on Zoloft and I wanted to kill myself. Im not sure what will help with my Anxiety and only my Anxiety Im not a depressed person so putting me on Anti-Depression pills makes me depressed and have bad Anxiety. I hate it. But i do need this Anxiety to go away.

Hi hon, my old consultant (I moved area so have a new one!) wouldn't use it as it is a particularly difficult one to come off when necessary. My boyf suffers bad anxiety and takes cipramil (citalopram) and finds it very effective. I also take it for anxiety/depression. All the best to you and enjoy your baby when he/she arrives!

My mom has a lot of anxiety, and she's been wanting to get a prescription for Zoloft. She had a friend that would badly freak out in public, and she took Zoloft for it and it helped her function a lot better. I've never been on Zoloft, but I think that's also prescribed for anxiety. Paxil, I'm not sure. I used to be on Paxil and it was just like taking M&Ms. It did nothing for me...I would go to a psychiatrist and see what they think. A doctor is always quick to hand out whatever you ask him for, and Zoloft or Paxil may not be the answer for you...a psychiatrist would probably know better. But whatever you take, a pill rarely is the end-all cure for things like this. Your anxiety stems from something, and just talking about it once or twice a week with a counselor would probably help you figure out what really causes it, along with the medication...good luck!! I completely understand anxiety. It's terrible...

I was on Paxil when I was 19 years old (10 years ago) I did not like the drug at all! I felt very loopy and sometimes felt ill. It also made me suicidal as well. But everyones reaction to the drug is different. You should seek a doctor so they can prescribe the right anxiety drug that would be right for you. I've tried several of them and none of them worked for me for some reason.

Paxil just made me feel extremely nauseous so I had to stop taking it! Go to your Dr., explain your problem and let him/her recommend what would be best rather than having decided yourself upon Paxil. It may be that a treatment would be suitable that doesn't involve taking medication.

I took Paxil for anxiety and it was wonderful! It worked so well for me. It helped me from the moment I took my first dose.
