impletmentation of the North American Union?

KBR won a $385 million dollar contract to build "detainment camps" in the US (simple google search will find that info for you).

Do you think that this is for the implementation of the North American Union? (again, a simple google search will find this info for you as well)

It's nice to know that you go beyond the minumum to find information for yourself. Also rather sad that you get all of your information from Y!A.

They are for the dissenters when the next Government sponsered 9-11 event takes place! and we that have been telling you what was going on will be placed in them!

This event(probably bigger than 9-11) will be done within 6 months of the next presidential election so congress does not have time to review it!

Martial law will be implimented, and the elections will be suspended!

Hail King Bush and Assistant King Cheney!

Just Remember I TOLD YOU BEFOR IT HAPPENED!

and you have less than a year to prepare!

It will also happen right before we invade IRAN, and they will blame it on IRAN to justify an attack on them!

There is a lot of scary speculation about this contract.
A lot of chatter, and yes, I could foresee abuse of detainment camps.
KBR is a Halliburton subsidiary. They've already bilked the tax-payers enough. If any company doesn't merit being granted a government contract, it's Halliburton. I find that outrageous.
However, if there was any attempt to detain large numbers of Americans in those camps..the public backlash would be immediate and could rapidly devolve into armed conflict across our heavily armed nation. I doubt there is much truth being spoken by the government about these camps, but I can't see them provoking another civil war.
I could see them moving masses of people from other nation's into them, then releasing them into our nation to complicate our society, further devastating education and health care at taxpayer expense, however.

Scary stuff - I don't know who the prison camps are for

It may be the average citezen wo has disagreed - After all Bush more or less said if you spread idea's of how 9/11 was anything but what the government says your playing into and supporting terrorists

An enemy combatant can be any one US born or not and therefore not entitled to the protections of the law - as in being charged or getting a lawyer or a trial -

It may be for Iraqi's it may be for anyone and everyone -

Scary stuff

Frankly I think Bush is just wasting our money to help his friends. Try to find some rationalization to build something. If our government keeps up its horrible peformance, tehy would need something for those who are planning to riot. The term Civil disobediance, usually implies non - violent means, and I'm planning to throw a rock at a tank. I would run like a coward afterwards though.

Interesting! According to the NYT, the camps are supposed to be for an immigrant influx (they don't say from where, but I suspect it could include innocent refugees from Iraq, of whom there are MANY) and refugees from natural disasters, like Katrina.

But I'll admit, it sure does make me want to keep an eye on things.
