When I divorced my ex, he told me that at my age (37) and the fact that I had a child, no one would ever want to date or more specifically marry me. (Altho he hooked up with somebody 3 1/2 years my senior...)

Don't let him win by keeping his ugly thoughts in your head. You are by no means "old". Many women with children your age re-marry and live very happy lives. It sounds like it's a good thing he's your ex! Work on yourself, work on your life. Learn how to be happy and forget him! Good luck :)

his ego was hurt you left him naturally he wasn't intending to say anything nice. his way of making you feel insecure and think oh maybe i should stay then. don't listen to him. you can find love at any age. heck people divorce and hook up in later life too. my girlfriends ex husband is now dating his secretary he's in his late 50's and some big disney man in his 80's just got a divorced not to long ago . your never to old to be loved my dear. everyone needs love so there will always be a need for companionship in life.

Don't let this man play mind games with you, you are just approaching the age in my opinion women look their best--40's. Having a child does not affect who you are. Beauty and sexy is just as much attitude as it is physical.
A women needs to be able to laugh and have time.
To old is when you start loosing your hair, hearing, smile, laughter, teeth, and can no longer control your body functions.

Of course this is not true! Be yourself and you will find someone who likes you for who you are (and your child). He said this because he was upset or just mean. Age means nothing. Don't worry! There are reasons that people in the 20's are single as well.

Yo, nobody is old until he/she admit himself. And who said that at your age, there is no more dating?? The restaurants, concerts, plays are full of middle age single peoples dating every weekends. Some as old as 60 yrs old women with grandchildrens.

actually in my opinion this is not the point which your (37) or u had a child, . yes this is right that every one seeks the hottest and sexy women in there life, but they spent less time with her, try always to understand each other feeling's not only yours, every single person have his or her own opinion so we had to respect them always, but a honest women and good characteristic never loose her weight, she will always be very precious .... before pointing to someone firstly point at your self........

You are never too old. Yeah you want someone that is attractive physically, but at this point I would just want someone who is compatible with me and my life.

At 37 you are at your sexual peak, and this dummy let you go. Something is wrong with him, not you. You will find plenty of dates and lots of opportunity for comfort, he is the one losing out. You go gurl!!
