Like my eyes are brown, were other peoples eyes can be green, blue, hazle, violite blue, or if your albino-red. What causes this?

Three main elements within the iris contribute to its color: the melanin content of the iris pigment epithelium, the melanin content within the iris stroma, and the cellular density of the iris stroma. In eyes of all colors, the iris pigment epithelium contains the black pigment, eumelanin. Color variations among different irises are typically attributed to the melanin content within the iris stroma. The density of cells within the stroma affects how much light is absorbed by the underlying pigment epithelium.
Eye color is an inherited trait influenced by more than one gene.Certainly the model learned in school aboutbrown-eye color being dominant over blue is an over-simplification. Indeed the one-gene theory is not valid; there is no single gene for eye color. There are two major genes and other minor ones that account for the tremendous variation of human eye color. In humans, three loci associated with eye color are currently known: EYCL1, EYCL2, and EYCL3.These genes account for three phenotypic eye colors (brown, green, and blue) in humans. Eye color is demanding, as all four genes must determine the same color for the eye color to be pure; otherwise a mixed color such as hazel will result.Eye color usually stabilizes when an infant is around 6 months old.
In 2006, the molecular basis of the EYCL3 locus was resolved. In a study of 3839 people, researchers reported that 74% of total variation in eye color was explained by a number of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) near the OCA2 gene (OMIM: 203200). OCA2 was previously known because, when mutated, the gene can result in a type of albinism. The recent study showed that different SNPs strongly associate with blue and green eyes as well as variations in freckling, mole counts, hair and skin tone.

Interpretation listed in your genetic bank in each of your cells. For example, your dad's eyes are brown, your mom's eyes are blue. However, when you were born, yours came out with green. Why?
Your dad probably had a recessive gene for green paired with the dominant gene for brown. Hence, his genetic interpretation came out with brown. Your mom had the same recessive gene, except her dominant gene was for the color blue. Now you have three colors from your parents. Brown (BR), Blue (BL) and Green (gr)--so Dad has a genetic make-up of BRgr, mom has BLgr.
It so happened that when the fertilized egg started to multiply to form you, the chromosomes for eye color was divided so as to separate the BR and the BL from the gr's. Both gr's paired up with each other and voila, interpreted you with green eyes.

It is thought that all human irises were at one point all dark brown, or black. Eye color tends to be carried along with other genes for pigmentation in the body like skin tone. As the population of humans began to spread out among the world, skin tone became lighter and lighter as the climate became colder.
Colder regions tend to have less sunlight, and to compensate for the lack of Vitamin D from ultraviolet radiation received from sunlight, brighter pigmentation in the skin is adopted, as are brighter and more colorful eyes.
As humans spread out to many different lands, color of eye and skin became various, and when these various groups of humans mingle and mix, iris pigmentation becomes scattered among us!
My eyes are green. =D

Pigmentation, like the stuff that causes colour in your hear...pigments are proteins ( or at least I think they are!) that are produced by your genes (DNA) according to what info you have!
THere are modifier genes that also affect the colour of eyes, so its not just 1 gene causing eye colour.
