1. Everyones knows the trans-atlantic slave trade redefined slavery. Before the trans-atlantic slave trade African slaves had the chance to move out of slavery and where often treated better than common people because they were viewed as valuable. In the trans-atlantic slave trade Africans were abused in new and horrifying ways. 2. To ask the question is like asking why the Jews still talk about the holocaust, it is apart of their history and plays a vital role to their current status today. 3. Yes, it is a fact of that all nations are power seeking and are built on forced labor but rather than use African countries as an example to cite your case, you should consider WHY it is that African Countries have used these tactics. Again this goes back to history! African countries are using the same methods Western powers did before. So to claim using these mistreatment, exploitation and abuse for capitalization is the same as stating two wrongs make a right. The use the amount of murders, exploitation and the human rights violations one nation has committed in comparison to another nation is not a valid argument when claiming a certain group should or (in your case) should not discuss certain histories. There is NO when dealing with world history there is really hard to claim a certain part is white history because the actions of everyone (white, brown, black and etc) make up a whole history.

Everybody has their likes and dislikes yeah, but to hate Johnny Cash, now why would anyone want to do that? If so, what would be their reasons, besides them not liking country music maybe! I loved the man and his music, and the movie Walk the Line was an awesome movie. I watch it every time it is on Cable! I think it was a great story about his life.
