They do a sliding scale based on income.

It will cost somewhere between 50 and 180, depending on how much money you make and depending on whether you are getting a full exam.

Then, the pills will cost somewhere between 12 and 40 dollars a month, again depending on your income.

If you are poor enough, you may qualify for state or local grants that pay for exams and birth control. In Michigan, there is something called 'Plan First!' that kicks in when a girl is below 180% of the federal poverty level.

In some states, you can get the pills without getting a full physical. That will cut down on the price, but you will miss out on your pap smear test. Getting that yearly pap is very important, but keep in mind that it might be possible to get the pills now if you can't afford the whole exam.
