I've never had French food and I would really like to try it. If I'm going to try something new, I want to do it right. I would like suggestions for authentic French restaurants in and/or around the metro Atlanta area.

Please don't suggest La Madeline, because they're not REALLY french, they just have good pastries. I want authentic entrees.

Thanks!

circulate to Coops place on Decatur (for the duration of from Margaritaville). they have the final gumbo and jambalaya on the city and this is extremely much less intense priced ($5-6 a individual). in the journey that your mouth's no longer on hearth yet, have a bloody mary there! you additionally can inspect appropriate Grocery on Decatur. they have extensive mufflettas for $8- will actual feed 2 human beings. there is often a great line, yet lots of stuff to verify on an identical time as you wait! Cafe Du Monde is great for breakfast- very sturdy and much less intense priced plus great environment. Or, you are able to desire to purchase sparkling community fruit on the French marketplace for a inexpensive breakfast. For dinner attempt the Crescent city Brewhouse's Cajun pasta. Mmmmmm. sit down on the bar so which you would be able to watch the oyster shuckers. Bonus, the night bartender is an area with a real N'Awlins accessory and there is rather much continuously stay community Jazz right here. somewhat pricier, yet no longer very nearly as costly because of the fact the gourmand eating places and the nutrients is to die for!

South of France is good but my fav is a quaint little place called Cafe Alsace in Decatur on the square...located on Ponce de Leon. I have been there several times and LOVED the food, the atmosphere is wonderful and seems very authentic. I highly recommend the place.
