Chi~More and more I see you as a walk the talk kind of guy!

That's honorable!

Sadly honor and integrity don't seem to be qualifications in holding public office anymore!

That to me is the most disheartening thing about politics and our government over the last few decades!
Just the fact that the integrity of the offices of the highest government officials even needs to be subject to scrutiny!!!
Where's the civility in our civilization?

It's disgraceful!

I don't. If you are referring to Cheney's deferrments as a college student to avoid the draft, and his obvious acitivities behind outing Palme as a spy for the CIA, and standing by as his buddy Libby gets nailed for it, no, I don't see any glory in that, among other things. Now he's dodging a congressional subpoena. Even Republicans are now keeping their distance from him. His shine has always been lackluster, to say the least. He will fade into oblivion and ride out his days in Wyoming soon enough.

Patriotic is not something I would call Cheney.

And I'll leave it at that.

Nope. It is NOT patriotic to dodge the draft. It is seditious to out one of our intelligence agents.

He himself, now? Couldn't say for sure, but while he's in that seat I won't call him names, will not undermine our Vice-President, etc.

I may not vote for him, I may protest his policies (respectfully and loudly), but I will not join ANYONE in being seditious or unpatriotic.

I don't sell that cheaply.

I do Chi,There is no proof to all the above charges.
I am patriotic to the office but not to a man. But I will stand behind him as an American.

I don't know any Benedict Cheney, but he has to be more patriotic than our VP.

Not me! I have to agree with Ed-Mike...he would get some respect at least, if he actually showed us that he cares something about this country, by resigning! *sm*
