I worked at a dating service when I was 17. I had to lie and say I was 21 to the clients, my boss was ALWAYS drunk and passed out in her office. Since we were the only two employees at that location, I had to make the telemarketing calls, lure guys into the building, sell a $2,000 program to some bastard I knew never had a chance, and then video tape the losers as they cried about being lonely. Boy, did I meet some winners!

When i was a Navy Corpsman with the Marines. I got to treat my brothers saving lives, they let me shoot all kinds of weapons, fly in helicoptors, amtracks. I got to travel around the world and see how people suffer worse than me. Makes me not take for granted what i have here. I would spend time out in the field dirty, cold, wet, hot, whatever but it was an experience i wouldnt change.

Running around trying to please the customers, get the meals, entree, mains and desserts of 100 people to the tables in a coordinated organised fashion, piping hot and tasty....a challenge everyday but fulfilling....just hard on the body and hard when you get trouble making customers.
