He will be 33, but I think there is a chance he'll go. I say this because he'll make a great captain and he is beginning to lose weight (the Milan staff have ordered him to show up slim for pre-season practice). And I bet that the Brazil team in the next World Cup will be extremely young and an older player like him would be good even if he is on the sideline. So yea, if he manages to lose a bit of weight he will be back.

Probably not. Ronaldo does not have the physical conditions for a World Cup even though he has all the technical abilities in the world. He played for Corinthians for 8 months and hasn't lost much weight, now that he fractured his finger 2 days ago, he's going to be out for 5 more weeks. It will be very unlikely to see Ronaldo in the World Cup next year. As for Ronaldinho, he has more chances because he plays in every match (unlike Ronaldo that can't stand 3 consecutive matches). The problem with Ronaldinho is that he lost his physical and technical abilities. He just gained 4 Kg in this vacation, he can recover to a better form for the World Cup but for his technical abilities, it might be harder. In my opinion, Ronaldinho will NOT go to the World Cup.

They can't afford not to go without him. To all the moronic cretins complaining about his age/weight: Why on earth is he still successful in one of the toughest leagues in the world, Serie A? Experience is an asset to any potential finalist at a competition like the World Cup. We've all seen how "over the hill" players were crucial to the best teams at just about every World Cup. It would be a disaster to take a young and relatively inexperienced team to a World Cup.

No he should go as a spectator but not as a player. He will be 33 which is not the oldest a person has ever played in a WC but he should make room for the younger faster players. Four world cups is enough.

No! I'm annoyed about his excuse for not going to the copa america because he is tired. Being part of a national team is being ready to play in all major tournaments not just the world cup. If he can't devote to it he should not be on the team. Also his age and weight are not good. He is not as good as he used to be, and he is not one of the best in Brazil anymore he does not deserve a spot.

I haven't hear much of him since the rumor of him going to the Millan but wasnt' true. Anyway...I think he should go IF...he watches his weight!! He tends to put on pounds and that makes him very slow...like in the last world cup. But I would like to see him in the next World Cup...oh wait...how old would he be?

No and he is too old for Brasilian soccer. If FIFA permits,
he could very well play for any Asian and African country
and also many European countries. He may be a good fit
for England or even Holland.

No, his career ended a long time ago, lol. He had a good 2-3 year run, lol, just like Ronaldinho. They were both good, but only for a while. Robinho is the next, lol.

I think Brazil should NOT be allowed to play in any type of cup.
Sports is for people with heart who want to represent thier countries and make everyone proud. That's not the case with Brazil. All it takes is someone to make a offer under they table and they simply give cups away for money. Brazils soccer team makes me want to puke. I have no respect or adulation for those pigs. It's sick how they play well sometimes but then they lose against a country that not even themselves can believe they won. I hope that Copa America comes down to Argentina Vs Mexico. At least those two countries give thier 110% at all times and play for thier people and not for money.
