I want to move asap. I found this 4 bed house to rent with a huge yard for 950$ a month. The problem is, its an hour to an hour and a half away from my usual ruitine. I would only have to commute 2-3 days a week but still. Or I have found a 2 bed appartment for $1000 a month within 20 mins (without freeway). And no living in the same city isn't an option. So, what would you do?

A huge yard looks nice at the start, but are you prepared for all the maintenance? Cutting the grass, weeding, rolling, watering, it can take a whole morning every weekend. Plus the 3 hour commute adds wear and tear on your vehicle and will probably add to your insurance rates. Plus the driving, which is a pain even in good weather. Still, it's nice to be able to sit outside in your yard, have parties, and room for your stuff. Make a list of pros and cons for each one and decide which suits you best. Luck.

I'd go with the smaller place for $50 more, figuring I'd save much more over the long haul in gas and wear n tear on the car. Do you have to mow the huge yard? Do you have to shovel the driveway? Is that included in the price of the apt? Do you need four bedrooms or will two do? Those are the things you need to consider.
