Ohhhh boy. Okay. This will go Book Title, Author.

Me Talk Pretty One Day, David Sedaris. Sloppy Firsts (and sequels), Megan McCafferty. Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging (series), Louise Rennison. Mates, Dates (series), Cathy Hopkins. {Anything by David Sedaris}. The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Stephen Chbosky. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, JRR Tolkien (and The Hobbit, too). A Walk to Remember, Nicholas Sparks. His Dark Materials (trilogy), Philip Pullman. The Chronicles of Narnia (series), CS Lewis. The Goose Girl (and sequels), Shannon Hale. Princess Academy, Shannon Hale. {Anything by Gail Carson Levin}. Gossip Girl (series), Cecily von Ziegesar. The Clique (series), Lisi Harrison. The A-List (series), Zoey Dean. {These books are all somewhat similar and not exactly literature.. definitely a tiny tiny bit trashy chick lit. But you still love it}. Elsewhere, Gabrielle Zevin. {Anything by Mitch Albom}. Ashes of Roses, Mary Jane Auch. Rebel Angels (and sequel), Libba Bray. The Catcher in the Rye, JD Salinger. To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee. {Anything by Sharon Creech and Jean Craighead George}. {Anything by SARAH DESSEN who is so amazing}. The Secret Life of Bees, Sue Monk Kidd. The Thief Lord/Inkheart/Inkspell, Cornelia Funke. I have some more; let me know if you want to know. Have fun reading! By the way all of these books are guaranteed good-- they were my favorites.

Tim Dorsey's novels are a real treat to read. One part friendly serial killer, one part Florida trivia & local legends, two parts wacky craziness. "Florida Roadkill" is the start of the stories; but I started with "Cadilac Beach" and quickly got into the groove.

Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels are another good choice. Stephanie Plum is an out-of-work department store buyer who turns to bounty hunting to make ends meet. "One For The Money" introduces the main characters and gives you the background needed. Unfortunately, it also is the heaviest in tone and mood. The rest of the series is much lighter and a lot more fun.
