The beach where we most go is Umm Sequim. I think this is the largest public beach. At the right side of Burj Al Arab. When you drive at the Jumeirah Beach road take the exit to the Grand Mosq (after Kentucky Fried Chicken).

More in the direction to Bur Dubai at the Jumeirah Beach Road you have Jumeirah Park. As it says.... a park... but then connected to the beach. You have to pay 5 Dhs for entry, but this means there is some kind of security. This is usually not to prevent you from gangs or criminals, but more to control the 'on-lookers'..., men that are disturbing women and families.

the umm sequim & the jumeirah beaches by far are the top places to chill out around.
