It sounds sort of trashy, honestly. That's a popular fake name for strippers and drag queens. :(
What's her Chinese name? Knowing what it means can give you inspiration. For example, if her Chinese name is Hua you could give her a flower or nature name - Lily, Violet, Ivy, etc. If her Chinese name is Mei, you could give her a name that indicates beauty - Belle, Calla, etc. If it's Ting, maybe something musical - Melody, Lyric, Cadence, etc. Just the sound of her name can also inspire you -- YiFan can be Eva, AiMei can be Amy, etc. You can also play off of her heritage with names like Jade or Pearl (things that China is famous for). If she's from Ji'an city, Gianna might be nice (Gianna sounds like Ji'an with "na" at the end). You get the idea.
Remember to give her a name that will suit her in all potential interactions in English (even getting a job), because you never know where she'll be in 10 years, but if she gets used to using that name now, she'll probably still be using it then. I never thought I'd apply for a job in China, but I recently did, and I was soooo glad that I had a beautiful, studious-sounding Chinese name that I could be proud to put at the top of my resume. Also, make sure that the name you give her in English is somewhat normal. If you give her something that's hard to pronounce or hard to spell or sounds invented or foreign, she might as well just stick with her Chinese name. Also, there's the *stereotype* that if a person who doesn't speak English as their first language has a name with a non-standard spelling or pronunciation, it must be because they just don't know how to spell or that they're mispronouncing their own name :( You'll be doing your friend a favor if you look at familiar names and normal spellings.

If you are looking for nice and unique names please do not name your daughter Destiny, As of 10-15 years ago Destiny was still a somewhat uncommon name, but the this present time, I know 3 Destinys personally, and thats not including the ones I know through other people. Go, with something more orginal, if your looking for something a little unorthadox. I am assuming that you want names that when shes in school there won't be 10-120 kids with the same name. here are some names I thought of....
Asia
Lyric
Paris
Allanna
Braelynn
Kaydence
Kennedy
Meeghan
Casha
I hope you find something that you love. By the way CONGRATS!

I don't care for it much sorry. However is it unique, the spelling i would go for Destiny. Another name suggestion along the same lines as Destiny, is Trinity. I think its pretty and is also unique.
Anyway just my opinion! Good luck!

I've heard of children being teased because of their parent not "spelling" their name correctly. I'd stick with the correct spelling and make your child happier in the long run. Trust me, I'm a pediatric nurse, and the "unique" spelling of names is way too trendy and outdated.

Destinee is a beautiful name.. or any way you like to spell it. I'd have to say it is not as unique as was a few years ago though.

There are already way too many girls with that name. Kids have a difficult time as it is. One should never give a child an unusual name. They will be teased in school most of their life and wonder why mom and dad decided on that name.

to be honor with these are great names , but you need an name that come from the heart from the inside and out..and only away your going to be unqiue is pick an name that no one has use before, and believe you'll know that day , because it what jesus wanted you to give the name too. whatever middle name you have for this child use it, and sound all the names out and you'll know which one came from the heart..

TERRIBLE! As if the name "Destiny" weren't bad enough.. the misspellings are intolerable!
I just feel bad for the poor baby who has to grow up and write that name on their college and job applications .. and expect to be taken seriously. sheesh
